Ofrece amplia cobertura, bajo consumo de energ\u00eda, bajo coste, gran capacidad de conexi\u00f3n y alta seguridad. Es adecuada para servicios de Internet de las Cosas multiterminal de larga distancia, baja velocidad y bajo consumo de energ\u00eda, y ofrece una amplia gama de aplicaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El 16 de junio de 2016, el acuerdo tecnol\u00f3gico NB-iot fue aprobado por la reuni\u00f3n del Grupo de Especificaci\u00f3n T\u00e9cnica de la Red de Acceso Inal\u00e1mbrico (RAN) 3GPP, y la estandarizaci\u00f3n se complet\u00f3 con \u00e9xito, lo que indica que NB-iot pronto entrar\u00e1 en la fase de escala comercial. Los medidores inteligentes de agua, gas, calefacci\u00f3n y electricidad se promocionan ampliamente porque pueden realizar medici\u00f3n de energ\u00eda en tiempo real, lectura remota de medidores, pago remoto y otras funciones.
