Det er typisk en modifikation af et standard blysyrebatteri til biler eller marine. Gel produceres normalt ved homogen dispersion af pyrogen silica i fortyndet svovlsyre. Pyrogen silica er en slags pulver af meget godt dispergeret SiO2, som absorberer mere end 10 gange sin egen v\u00e6gt som syrev\u00e6ske for at producere gel. Gelbatterier er ekstremt robuste og alsidige.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det kaldes gel, fordi de bruger silica (eller sand) til at omdanne syren inde i batteriet til en tyk v\u00e6ske. Denne v\u00e6ske g\u00f8r den spildsikker, ligesom vores AGM-batterier, men gelen er skr\u00f8belig og kan let br\u00e6nde, hvis den bruges i situationer med h\u00f8j str\u00f8mstyrke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-charge-a-gel-battery\">Hvordan oplader man et gelbatteri?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Der findes flere metoder til at oplade gelcellebatterier med en gelcellebatterioplader, men konstant sp\u00e6ndingsopladning er den bedste metode. Til denne type opladning bruges en fast, reguleret sp\u00e6ndingskilde til at oplade batteriet.
